โ€ข More than half a million people in Gaza are “starving” due to the food crisis, as reported by the UN and non-governmental agencies.

โ€ข The UN Security Council has passed a resolution to enhance aid delivery to Gaza, which is at an “imminent risk of famine” and faces the spread of diseases. The resolution has been criticized by some countries as โ€œnearly meaninglessโ€ since it doesnโ€™t explicitly call for an immediate ceasefire.

โ€ข The health ministry in Gaza reports that dozens of Palestinians have been killed this week and publicly “executed” during an Israeli military operation in the north of the besieged enclave.

โ€ข An Israeli airstrike in Gaza City resulted in the death of 76 members of the al-Mughrabi family, including Issam al-Mughrabi, a long-time employee of the U.N. Development Program, along with his wife and five children. The strike, one of the deadliest in the ongoing conflict, prompted a statement from the head of UNDP, Achim Steiner, emphasizing the impact on civilians and calling for an end to the war.

โ€ข According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, the war has been the deadliest for modern-day journalists, with 68 media worker killings in the region over the past ten weeks.
