Due to the deteriorating living conditions, the provinces of Damascus, Suwayda, and Dara’a in southern Syria have seen a number of anti-regime protests. Demonstrators have called for Bashar al-Assad’s ouster in response to his regime’s corruption and mismanagement of the country.
