On July 24, the activities of the second Romex Exhibition for Raw Materials and Production Requirements, the fifth Chem Expo for Chemical Industries, and the sixth Syria Plast Exhibition for Plastic Industries commenced at the new Exhibition City in Damascus concluding Sunday, July 27.
The exhibitions organized by the Meshhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences featured the participation of 172 companies from Syria and 13 other countries, specializing in raw materials, final products, machinery, and equipment necessary for various types of industries, particularly in the chemical and plastic sectors.
During a press conference, the President of the Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry, Engineer Muhammad al-Molawi, affirmed that the three exhibitions were among the most prominent economic and industrial events in the country. He highlighted the wide participation that included Syria and several Arab and foreign countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, China, Libya, and Bulgaria.
Molawi pointed out the notable representation of Syrian companies, including those from northern Syria, particularly from Idlib, reflecting a gradual recovery in economic and industrial activity. He considered these exhibitions to be among the largest and most important since the restoration of security and stability and praised the organizational efforts made by the company.
Khalaf Mashhadani, General Director of Mashhadani International Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, said this event is one of the most significant economic activities taking place in Syria this year. It carries clear messages about the recovery of the Syrian industrial sector and its openness to regional and international markets, as well as its vital role in supporting economic development.
The exhibition activities serve as a platform for industrialists, investors, businessmen, and interested visitors to learn about what participants offer in terms of various materials, technologies, and final products, allowing them to network through commercial, industrial, or investment companies. There are also opportunities to attend several specialized seminars by experts in plastic and chemical industries.
The event presented significant opportunities for improving the Syrian market after years of closure and stagnation. Moreover, traders are ready to elevate industrial sectors according to international specifications and standards while developing industrial work within the country.
