The Assad regime continues its escalation of attacks on civilians in several towns and villages. On Sunday, Assad regime forces targeted a civilian’s car east of Idlib destroying the vehicle, and damaging the wall of the adjacent home causing injuries and material damage. Despite concerns raised by the international community, the recent increase in attacks against non-combats in Syria continues unabated.
Assad and Russian attacks with missiles, mortars, and heavy artillery are ongoing in several villages and towns along the areas near the contact lines in Idlib and western Aleppo. These attacks have been continuous over the last few months and included the massacre of two families only a few days ago in Qaqfin village in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Militias stationed in the vicinity of the occupied village of Kafr Halab in rural Aleppo targeted a civilian car in the town of Maarat al-Nasan and a car in the village of Katyan, in the eastern countryside of Idlib with guided missiles, injuring a boy and his grandmother, refugees from Aleppo, who were in their home where the car was parked.
In the eastern countryside of Idlib, many villages are experiencing continuous attacks by the regime and its Russian allies, with various heavy weapons and ammunition, killing one and injuring six in Taftanaz and Afes due to strikes on residential areas. Such attacks in Idlib and Aleppo are-near daily occurrences over the last three months and remain concentrated on homes, IDP encampments, schools, and residential areas in an attempt to further displace or kill Syrian civilians.
